600 gallon NEW BUILD

You know you're talking to a fish geek when he says...

"Man I love that water container!"

Seriously, very nice, looks small and compact, just make sure you have a way to get water out of there before you fill it with water ;)

I Know!....I just stood back and admired the simple beauty in it....we definitely have issues!

I think I might be able to avoid an exterior pump altogether. One submersible out the top for the ATO work and one big sub for filling the DT and others.
The big sub will also be piped inside to provide circulation for salt mixing.(along with some power heads)..I figure why create holes in tanks if I can avoid it.

I searched high and low for a tank that will fit my narrow equipment room. A regular one at 24"-30" wide is too big. This one is only 18" wide

Great build following along. What do you plan on doing for the back panel on the DT.

Right now I am keeping it clear to help aquascape and set up flow/ect. I plan on covering with black or blue vinyl eventually. HOWEVER, I need an idea how to maintain a "viewing window", where I can stop coralline from growing. Then I can cover the back of the window with a black piece of acrilyc, and "open it" whenever I need to mess with the back side of the DT.Maybe another piece of acrilyc on the inside of the DT that I can discard whenever it covers over.

I hadn't given the automatic water change systems any thought (renew) until just recently. The prices are actually not quite as high as I had initially feared. I am beginning to give it some thought... especially for when I do a tank up-size.

That is so, so awesome. Beananimal drains? IF so, you'll love them. Move a ton of water and absolutely silent.

Yes..full syphon ....look like I will have to drop the sump to fit all the 6 pipes higher than it.Just caught it....I guess these things crop up when you finally start dry fitting things!
