600 Gallon Plus in Wall Tank-Living Room/Dining Room Divider from Saudi Arabia

Is the TDS this high because it's desalinized water, or there is another reason? Do you know actually what is the main cause of such high TDS?

Great build you have there and great to share it with us. I've been to your parts of the world and I know it's hard to get all the equipment you need. Do you order everything from the US? How about shipping, is it expensive?

Good luck with the build, can't wait to see some water in there!

Ooh my god everything that you sow on the first page of this thread and more are coming from US. We do not have good quality equipments over here at all. We pay sometimes 50% more than what you pay in US for shipping.

Hello reefers

I am not happy with my Aquascaping.
I am in need of your suggestion, should I attach all islands to each other and add more small islands or just leave them as they are??

please help

I think your aquascaping is fine. I would not change anything. Please remember that this will all look totally different when it is covered by coral growth. The shape of the corals will obscure the shape of the rockwork.

I would remove the centre island completely or reduce the height. If you wanted the same amount of rock in the display, maybe increase the size of one of the outer islands. Personally I find that if you stagger the heights of each island, the outcome is visually more appealing.
Personally I would increase the size of the island furthest away from the overflow, in both height and diametre, and drop the centre all together
Just my thoughts.
Thanks,
Bob

Abdullah, you didn't tell us you lived in a palace!

Your set-up is looking amazing.

Dave.M

Lol,

I do not live in a palace man.

My house is only meddle class ordinary house.

Believe it or not I moved to my house four years ago and up to now it's not fully furnished.

Every year I save money to buy the outstanding furniture, my wife come up with vacation plan.

Looking great Abdullah.
I fly frequently to Saudi and would love to see this tank when its running.
One thing you can try before going through the hassle of getting water transported to you each time is to run your high TDS water through a couple of sediment filters, i would go with a 10 micron then a 1 micron and follow up with a ceramic 0.9 micron. If the reason for the very high TDS is just sediment that might drop your TDS to values your RODI can handle.
Problem with your current solution is that you'll need frequent refill as the RODI will only give you a ratio of 1 to 4 of clean to waste water!!!
If the sediment filters don't drop the TDS considerably then youll have no other solution than what you did.
Not sure if you already got your flow pumps but i was advised by Ecotech when setting up my tank (88x34x30 220x85x75) to use 4 MP 60s. I still think you can get away woth only 2 60s one on each side and then 2 MP40s on the back. But then looking at your tank placement that would most probably not work as your tank is visible from 3 sides. Also seeing you have the overflow on the 4th side then vortechs will probably not work well as you'll need to orient your pumps to avoid causing a sand storm or the rocks in front...
Believe sea swirls on the returns and maybe a closed loop if you can still fit it would work best with this setup.
Can you post some pictures of the sump design you went with?

You are welcome at any time Maroun

Thank you so much for your suggestion and I will give it a try, I will add couple of sediment filters, i would go with a 10 micron then a 1 micron and follow up with a ceramic 0.9 micron and then the water goes to my RODI Unit.

By the way the Spectrapure ULTRA-HIGH EFFICIENCY 5 Stage 100gpd RO/DI SYSTEM come with the

HIGHEST EFFICIENCY PRE-FILTRATION AVAILABLE:

- Spectra's best 0.2 Micron (Absolute) Zeta-Zorb Sediment Filter. 5X more dirt holding capacity than a 0.5 Micron Filter!

- Spectra's best 0.5 Micron high capacity Chloramine removal Carbon Block Filter. (20,000 Gallon Chlorine Removal!)

- Pre-Filters last 2x-3x longer in the UHE system as less waste=less water thru pre filters=longer life=more money saved!

BEST OF THE BEST RO MEMBRANE:

- Highest quality DOW Filmtech Membrane

- 100 Gallons Per Day (or more!) with High Rejection, long life!

ULTRA CAPACITY DUAL STAGE DI:

- MaxCap" DI has 3.5 times more capacity than a typical mixed bed DI cartridge. Cuts DI water production costs in half!

- SpectraPure's Silica-Buster" DI maximizes silica & phosphate removal.

Regarding Display Water circulation

I already purchased Tunze Turbelle Stream TS48 Pump Kit - 4 x 6105 Pump + 7095 Multi Controller

The Turbelle stream pumps produce gentle current speeds at high flow rates of up to 13,000 liters (3,434 US gal.) per hour.

Regardless of how good an RODI the life of the filters, especially the membrane will be reduced with input water TDS at 2600. The prefilters i mention would spread trapping sediment at 3 consecutive step down filters which means they will not clog fast and reduce flow. If you're lucky the TDS will be caused by high sediment rate and the TDS will drop considerably before going through your 5 stage RODI. If the TDS agter the prefilters doesn't drop below 7-800 then it will be best to buy water from that company and filter it with your 5stage RODI. In this case no need to add many prefilters.
As for the flow i have 2 6105 running in addition to the vortechs in my tank. Suggest you upgrade (if they didn't come upgraded) to the newer larger housing and the 24 v jumper. Stronger and wider flow and causes less sand stormes...
Regarding your scape agree that it will be covered with corals and become less visible, still i would get a bit more creative adding some ledges to the rock structures. I would also modify the positioning and sizes of your structures based on your viewing angle from your seating area. Modifying the height and position of the structures would give the tank an increased sense of deapth although its already a very wide tank.
Maybe going with ascending structures from right to left would give an amazing view from the tank side you could also experiment with structures coming forward as you go from the right to the left side would give a better view... It goes back to trying different scapes and looking at it from different positions in your room. You'll of course complement it with good positioning of your corals and gardening as they grow.
Check out page 2-4-7-8 of my build thread where i was considering my scape options.

Hello dears,

I received the lighting frame last week but it required some modification on the height and I tried to fit the lighting frame inside the canopy without the modification but I could not, so we started the modification

Don't you use 220V in KSA?

Thank you so much for visiting my thread

We are the only country in middle east using 110v & 220v.

We are using 110V & 220V 50-60HZ in KSA eastern province and we follow the American standards

I started construction on my house 7 years ago and at that time we can have both 110 & 220V, But now all the new houses must be 220V ONLY.

Now it started to become difficult to find 110V products here in the market.

From now on, any equipment breakdown from my tank or my house, I am going to replace it with 220V 50/60Hz but I need to find me a good supplier from anywhere in the world how can supply me with 220V 50/60HZ Equipment's.
