Looking good! Very jealous of your mimic. I've had mine for over a year, it's about 5" and 3/4" thick, and still doesn't have full adult coloration. Very nice colors on yours.

Thanks Sonic but it says it does .5 inches.

I'm sure the guys running gigantic tanks with thick glass/acrylic must know the answer.

I hope.

Thanks v.

Just a thought: what if you hung long, 4" wide strips of a thinner plastic in the tank to hang the pumps from? Would that work? Are the plug sides water-proof?

Dave.M

That was the initial idea. The magnets looks like they are sealed.

Are you sure?
Way back when...you calculated tank volume based on 1 1/4" thick sides, and 1 1/2" bottom

I was wrong. The front and back are 1 1/2 inches and the sides are 1 inch. Bottom and bracing are 3/4 inches.

Thanks hobbzz. I hope to get an orange shoulder also in its adult coloration.

What if you were to place the pumps on a set of sea sweeps. Im sure that will work and will also aid in random flow since the sea sweeps rotate.

You may need to have some acrylic holders made for the pumps that you can either glue to the sides or have hanging from the sides.

I want to say I'm sorry for no updates. This has been an emotional past two weeks.

Still no lights yet for the tank. The govt keeps saying check in 30 days and that was 90 days ago. Plus the wedding preparation was almost a bust when I found out that the original wedding planner never kept records of the payments made for the wedding venue and on top of that everyone we have dealt with was either fired or left.

Then also this was the 10 year anniversary of my of me being injured in Iraq and the mess in Iraq now brought back flashbacks. But I'm positive.

And lastly my tank is now 6 months old. I usually do a video but I really haven't added anything to the tank. I've been focusing on getting my alkalinity in check these last few weeks and I'm getting closer to my goal.

Thanks to everyone for the support and who's been there for me through this journey. Holla at y'all later.

Hang in there man, this administration won't be slapping vets forever. Some of us truly appreciate what you have done, and completely disagree with wasting the blood and treasure that was spent there.

So how is the alk coming along?

Godspeed Brutha and a prayer coming your way.
Thanks Jim.
Looking forward to the update...
Soon sir, soon.
Brother you know you can always call me to talk tank or whatever!
I know J.
Leroy...

Thanks for texting me. Yeah... I understand... Call/text when ever you want.
Thanks Larry.

Yes my faith in the VA is diminishing slowly out of respect.

As for my alk, after weekly adjustments to the calcium reactor I am finally down to 8.06. Thanks to a well known aquarist near me, testing alkalinity on a daily basis has shed some light on stability and the importance in a reef tank.

Glad to see U maintaining your positive attitude. Any person who served his country deserves better than what our Veterans, veterans of the most powerful/resourceful/prestigious country on earth are getting. Our politicians should be ashamed of their inaction... Life goes on despite them... Go on Wayne enjoy your life and we are all glad to see your alk under control and that U are moving towards showing us another beautiful video...

Thanks Osama. If I didn't keep a positive I wouldn't know what or where I'd be at. I'm definitely grateful for the hobby.

How many actual computer screens do you have running at once. Nobody comes up with that stuff on one monitor.

Wayne the tank looks great I love the video. It sucks they're still dragging their feet when it comes to taking care of our vets. So much lip service so little action.

At least you can take heart in the fact so many of us take pride in our vets and appreciate all you've sacrificed. I am lucky I never needed more help other than my VA loan when I purchased my first home back in 86. "hurry up and wait" was the motto when I was in. It sounds like not much has changed since then.
