No, sorry, I have never used the NeoZit system or whatever; far too expensive and possibly OCD.
In my limited experience cyano is just a typical stage in the maturing of any new tank and not a reason to freak out over. It will arrive out of nowhere, you'll scrape and scratch and lift it out and then it will suddenly disappear after one to four weeks on its own. I see no reason to obsess over it and throw a lot of money at wonder cures.
I have not felt the need to try carbon dosing (yet) but I do try to follow the various articles on it. It is my understanding that carbon dosing requires both nitrates and phosphates to work, gradually reducing both, but obviously if there is more of one element than the other in a particular system then that element will become limiting to the process. As I recall, glennf is actually dosing some of these elements back into his system in order to maintain a balance. This is very interesting but far too controlling for me. I would rather look at the pretty fishies than be micro-analyzing every element, i.e. chasing the numbers.
