Hey Richard, it has been a while since we have heard from you. How is everything going with the fish bowl?

Hi Mike, the fish bowl is doing great! I had a problem with grape caulerpa algea, most of them are gone now. I bought a striatus tang to take care of it, unfortunatly, its not doing the job, so i had to manually remove them daily for a week or so. The corals are doing great, did not have the time to glue them on the rocks yet, so most of them are still lying on the sand. I will take pictures once the corals are glued.

No much updated pictures, i will try to get some soon, meanwhile, i am working on a frag tank/hospital tank will post some pictures once i get it :)

Richard, I love your tank. The stand and the tank looks like live art. I would like to see some details on the stand build. What is the matterial that you used? Did you paint it or stain it? How is it attached to the stand? What magnets did you use? Thank you for all the info.

Richard,
Awsome tank, I am in the process off building a 200 gallons tanks
So far I have ordered a profilux controller, 3 lumen bright refelctors, 3 reeflux 12k 250W, Orca 200 Skimmer, two tunze 6000 and a RO\DI filtration system. There is so much stuff to take off and it's my first decent tank. So I got a few question.... if you don't mind

We're did you get your canopy built and did you get your plumbing online or locally?

Thanks a lot!!! I dont have any pictures of the stand being built. I will take some pictures to show you more how it is done. The inside frame on each side are made with pine. Those 2 frames are connected from the top where the 3 top panels are. If necessary, i just have to take some screws out and remove the stand. All the panels are made with oak and aluminium trim that are glued. It was stain with around 15 layers to get this dark brown look. The magnets used are called: rare earth magnet. I got square ones, each are 0.75$ are very strong! I will try to get some pictures tomorrow for that.

Hi there,

you are off for a great start! I heard a lot about those lumen bright reflectors! Hope to see the result some day. The aluminium frame was built from a company name Katim here in quebec. I got it costum made by a guys working for a LFS here in montreal. I got my plumbing locally from my LFS also.

Here's some pictures taken in january, as you can see, most of my corals are just on the sand bed. Spring break is coming, i am planning on glueing them on the rocks. Will take the puck out and glue it on for look more naturel once its growth into it.

Anyone can ID this one? I bought it as a fungia, but it does not have any tentacule showing up. At night, it will buff up about 3 times it size.

Not the best picture, i have a hard time taking it. Its very hard to take a picture of those. They are more in the back of the tank and i have to take it with an angle, it does not come out great... sorry

Hey Kidney514, i got most of my stuff from 2 places: Worldfish and Aquareef.
Cool I know steve he is a really nice guys, but worldfish look like they are going out off business went to their store, and it was very lame!!

Kidney514, you are right, Steve is a nice guys!

Last time i visit worldfish, they were changing owner. The store will be fresh and salt instead of just saltwater. I havent meet the new owner and talk with them, but i know that they will still carry saltwater stuff.

Ya yesterday he waited for me to show after store hours to pick up sand and salt, and today he gave me a cup of live sand full of worm and some live rock to help kick start my refugium.

Wish they where all like that....

Some new corals that i got a few weeks ago but havent had the time to put pictures on. Most of the pictures were taken before introduction into the main tank. If some of you could ID them, it would be much appreciated! :)
