bad bager 1: Thank you! i was also afraid not having enough flow in the center as the vortech flow is very large but they dont go further than 3 feet iwould say. I still have flow in the middle, but maybe just not enough. Since my prolifux can also control Tunze, i just got a tunze 6200 and might get another one. I will try to hide it in the back behind the rocks so i wont see it.
yer i would think that would be perfect don’t know whether you will need two as the 6200 is pretty strong but then its a big tank lol! i guess you will have to see!

So is the Tunze 6200 the largest Tunze available right now?Ive heard so members mention 6201's and even a 6301 or something?Id like to know the gph these put out!!

So they must be larger than the other Tunzes are they and alot pricier too Id say.Anyone have these yet? They must be new.Anyone have a link for them.

for a tunze 6301, that a hell lot of flow at 7900GPH! probably need a really big tank for those pump, and probably bare bottom too :P for a price of 740 $USD, thats really expensive...

I got a good price on the 6200 since the new ones now are the 6201 which is a lot easier for maintenance. You only have to unplug it from the transformer (something you can't to on the old one, it was stick to the driver) and also less problem as if something happened, you only need to change one thing instead of changing the driver or the transformer.

I was thinking of getting a Wavebox with my spare 6100, i could make one :) and with the 6200, that should be plenty enough flow :)

I had the chance of seing Richard's wonderfull tank, in person, yesterday and I must say that I was blown away ! Incredible setup, everything is perfect, to the Starfire tank, to the aquascaping, down to the plumbing. Really, a great setup (the best I've seen so far), that has made me dreaming of a big tank !! I really love the full width of his tank and the height that is just perfect for viewing. Only one word to describe this tank: wow !

I hope you've been able to continue your Profilux setup, let me know if you need any other help ! ;)

Oh, and btw, if ever your looking at selling your place...hehe..you know who to call :)

Edward: I really like the vortech, but IMO, those 2 pumps works differently. The vortech have a wide flow, not direct like the tunze and can cover much more than a Tunze. For someone that want to put a pump on the side of the tank, i would recommended the Vortech. The flow is soo large that there is no need to aimed the pump (anyways, you cant aimed even if needed :P). Also for the look in the aquarium, the vortech look nicer. On the flow part, those 2 are different. The vortech have most of it flow right in front of it and on the side, the tunze have it more to the end of the tank. The spread of flow on the Vortech is much better than the Tunze which have a more powerful blast since its more direct. I would say that the flow with the vortech is good up to 4 feet. For longer tank, the Tunze would be more adequate. The tunze is also more versatile. In my case, i needed a pump that i could put an angle since it would be more for the center of the tank, something that i would not be able to do with the vortech. I will make sure it will be hiding behind the rocks so i would not see it much. On my controller, i have the option to control 2 Tunze, so that a plus to go with the Tunze.

Chris: Thank you for your kind words and thank you for coming and show me how the controller works! I will be playing on it and see if i can make it work wireless. Looking how your tank is updating, i am sure your tank will be one of the nicest one too! :)

Did you ever get the photos of how you put your lights on the rack. I have the same set up! It would really help.

Thanks....

Kaiden: I will be giving you some pictures of that, its actually very simple.

dougie, bad badger 1: I will be putting some pictures very soon. I am presently going through a hair algea bloom. Just put in some snails to take care of it. Might have to bring back a few more as 30 are in, but hardly can see where they went lol. Also for the Tunze, i am waiting for my LFS to bring in some Tunze 6200 magnets. I will need one for the tunze and a wavebox that i just got too! Can't wait to see the effect on my LPS with that in.

Kev135: Thank you very much! Always appreciate to see others liking my system :)

Sound grate i have often heard that hair algae can be a really pain to get rid of and that snails and hermit crabs often don’t touch it(but still good CUC) hopefully it will just go with the cycle that the tanks going fro! i guess a fox face or bristle tooth tang mite eat it if it doesn’t go!
