i have just received a 6000/ w a 7091 and if you shut off the power to it or use the feeding feature and power is restored to it, it then alarms, i then have to take the impeller out and put it back in for it to start, this has happened since the first time it has been put in use, i never find build up or any kind of obstruction, is there something i can do over than sending it in for repair?

yes it is brand new, put it in tank on friday, without pulling out the manual which one is the bush bearing, i assume its the one wedged into the pump that the impeller slides into?

Yes, it is the round collar around the hole. The brakes engage on this and if everything doesn't line up the brakes drag. If it is firmly pressed in, I would pry it out, rotate it 180 degrees and reinsert it, being sure the grooves are lined up, sometimes this fixes this problem. Also, double check that the red oring is under the upper bearing. Their is a thread at the top of this forum that illustrates all the parts.

Roger, that did the trick, it works great now, but now i have another question for you, if i have the light sensor plugged into the controller, and the lights are on the pump is running which it's suppose to do, but it never switches between p1 and p2, if i unplug the sensor then it starts switching, i have tried adjusting all the settings but the led always stays on p2, any suggestions?

The photocell is either broken, in the dark or not fully plugged in- nightmode is locked into whatever p2 is set at.
