6000 stream and power blink

I live in South Florida. We have some nasty thunderstorms here and sometimes we would get a power outage or blink for a few seconds.(Especially in my neighborhood) This is enough to shut my tank down and restart. I just purchased 2 stream 6000's and I am wondering if these short power outages will hurt the streams or controller. I have not installed them because I am waiting for the new controller. Thanks

I would get a surge supressor. What ever precautions you take for a computer should be done here as well because the pumps are computerized. You can use your pumps without the controllers while you are waiting.
