600G and 300G plumbed together build

on your tower, since you are already going to be working with live rock; perhaps you could cut drawers into the unit to make easily removable shelves. That way you could use filter pads just to remove larger particulate matter. Since the unit should be easily accessible in the garage you would be able to change out the pads extremely easily. This wouldn't take care of your filtering concerns, but it would take a lot of the strain off the system.

Thanks!

-How big are they? Do you know if there are any shaks thhat only grow to be about 1ft? I would like a shark tank and am willing to meet its need...I just dont have room for a tank like yours :D

The male is about 26" and the female anout 24" I think that there are a few sharks that stay that small but I think they are either cold water sharks or just very uncommon. If your interested in keeping a shark check out the "sharks and rays book" by Scott Michael or Michael Scott, something like that. Best tool I have found for keeping them, it also list sizes and care requirements. IMO even the tank I have now is too small for the sharks.

I'm not to sure if the current pumps I have will still work with the new steup. I have a Sequence 3600 for my return pump for my 300g and a Little Giant 4MDQX-SC for a closed loop. The 600g came with a Dolphin Amp Master 3000. I plan to keep the little giant as a closed loop on the 300g and will probably need to add a closed loop for the 600g also, maybe a reeflo dart or somthing like that. I really wonder if the sequence and the amp master can still work as my return pumps. I'm not sure of the distance they will have to return the water yet. Anybody with their sump far away from their tank can chime in here.

Thanks evolust! I guess I'll leave sharks to people with the space and money to provide for them! :D

I dont want to just buy one and stick it in a 55g :D

It probably wouldnt be happy lol.
Thanks for the help...and I'll check out the book.

Sounds like fun reading. :D

Thanks evolust. Ive always wanted a shark, but right now just isnt the right time. Maybe in a couple years I'll start a thread on here about a 600 gallon shark tank, but for the moment, I'll just stick to SH and corals. :D
THanks for the support :D
