Love the feeding video, your venustus is a pig! Great work!
Everyone looks fantastic! Love the tiny little parrot![]()
I love how he shakes his head after each bite, should be aggressive enough for long term. The multibars and copperband I'm not thinking so.
Get them through QT disease free and you have a chance. I've have several fish that just maintain their body weight in QT and then start pigging out once they have more room in the DT. As long as they are eating some food you have a chance, if they are not eating at all you might be in trouble.
You had meantioned earlier about your tear drop you had being mean...well mine is terrible... I wanted to see how it would act with other bf's and it did not go well. He went into an install I did were he'll be the only butterfly.
Was he the largest or near largest in the tank?
And was it in a QT tank, if so what size?
I ask because the one I had would not tollerate the other 2 fish in QT (both BFs) and I separated them.
What size was the tear drop and what are the sizes and species of the other fish?
I really really want to try another one but only after I add a few large angels to keep him in check
Sorry for so many questions but I'm trying to get a feel for the enviornment becasue not too many people post experiences with tear drops.
I love the sweet lips. Can't wait to see it get BIG.
Great stuff. What's that food
Also what's the basket your floating the fish in. Do you just do that to let the other fish get used to it
How do you get food to them without freaking out the fish?
This is a bit of a newb question but what are the benefits of a bb tank other than the obvious ease of maintaining/cleaning the tank over a live sand bed? I'm setting a new 200g tank up in a month or so and I'm exploring all options! The tank will be a FOWLR tank and will be the new home for my volitans, fox face, and tangs may also risk a niger trigger as well but not decided yet
Thanks
