6015 magnet holder

I just received my new Tunze 6015 and first thing I noticed was the both magnet holders had exposed magnets. Is this normal?
All my other Tunze magnet holders seem to be covered with something
( epoxy?).

The magnets seem to be pretty strong if they are ceramic magnets.

I have read a few responses where they have switched their magnets to ferrite which is ceramic do to a very large price increase in rare earth magnets.

Yes, that is correct, ferrite is a ceramic and will not rust.
