6025 Issue

Hi Roger, I bought a 6025 at xmas time and just recently two of the four "teeth" that holds the clip to the magnet broke off. I guess I need to get a new clip, shouldn't be too expensive (and even better if under warranty).

Do I have to deal with Phil at Xenia for Canadian customers? He is the most unresponsive and difficult person to get a hold of. Or can I go through you?

Thanks,
Blaine

It would be best to get it through Phil, I am quickly running out of clips until I get resupplied. The clip is not expensive but it should be warranty.

BTW, for the time being you could use either hot glue or silicon, that way you can peel it off when the new clip arrives.

Roger, thank you very much for the reply, I'll try to get a hold of Phil about a replacement.

Will gluing the piece on void the warranty in any way? If I need to send it back to Phil, will he question why it was tampered with?

The point is the clip should be stronger than that. It shouldn't break so easy. The only thing gluing it would affect is that you may not be able to get it off when you get a new clip. I am not Phil so I don't know what questions he might have but it really shouldn't be a big issue. It is something we know that early clips were overheated and contained too much glass fiber.
