6025 NanoStream Issues

Roger,
I purchased 2 6025 Nano Streams for my 40 gallon tank last fall (pre-ordered from Marine Depot). Had them in the tank about a month and one of the streams began rattling as if the impellar was making contact with the casing. After several removal, clean, and re-mount efforts (during each of which the drive shaft popped out of the motor as if it were supposed to!) I was not able to stop the rattling. Finally got the front cover of the casing sort of racked into a position where there is no rattle, but I sure can't touch it or it will either start rattling again or the front cover will come off. Additionally as these were pre-sale versions they didn't have the front screen on the output that the later versions have.

I have been toying with this situation for about 5 months now because I can't bring myself to take the streams out of the tank to ship them back to Tunze because they account for 95% of the flow in the tank (some flow from sump return, but VERY little) and my corals really seem to love them. I don't want to have to reinstall the 3 powerheads that I had in the tank prior to getting the streams while I wait for them to be shipped back and then new ones to be shipped out. I am assuming I need new ones since the shaft on both comes out so easily and clearly I am getting interference on one of the casings.

Here is my question, can you ship me replacement 6025s and as soon as I receive them I will drop these back in the mail? I am willing to provide a credit card for good faith! Thanks!

Tony

I have no problem doing that for you, can you contact me again next week? I am out of Nanos but we should get a shipment or at least have one in route by this time next week.
