6025 Powerhead Cover - Help

Hello, I have two 6025 powerheads in a 34 gallon nano. Over the course of the last year I've lost two (wonderful/healthy/reproducing) anenomes to the powerheads.

Does anyone have a suggestion for a cover that would fit the 6025, not be obtrusive, and not restrict flow significantly?

I am in mourning today, but tomorrow I'll be back. Thanks in advance for your help.

I don't think it would be possible to not restrict the flow substantially but as far as unobstrusive, you could wrap the pump with some fiberglass window screen.

I am in the same situation. I had an anemone get sucked into the Tunze, but fortunately we caught it quickly and it survived.

Now the SOB keeps crawling up to the Tunze so I have to keep turning it off. I've tried panty hose wrapped around it, but it restricted the flow way too much.

I'm trying to 'engineer' a setup where I can build a frame to wrap the panty hose in that won't cover the Tunze directly, more like an inch around it, just enough to keep the anemone away.

Hopefully someone here has a better idea.

Did the panty hose / cage concept work. I have to imagine there is someone out there that has workable solution to keep flow but protect the little critters. I read somewhere that strawberry buckets (the little green ones) might work.

Any other ideas?

I haven't built the cage yet, but I think it should work just fine, may not LOOK pretty, but if it saves my anemone I'll be happy.

I thought about the strawberry buckets as well, but wonder if the holes in the bucket are still too big and will allow the 'tentacles' of the anemone in.

On a good note, it appears my anemone has settled in the lower half of my tank, so maybe he'll stay there for good (yea right).
