6025 with disattached shaft?

Hello there!

I have two Nanostream 6025's in my 40g tank that have been running like champs for several months now. On one of them though, the propeller(?) shaft seems to have dis-attached from the little nub at the end of it that guides it into the fully-seated position.

The pump still works just fine it seems, but I was wondering how to go about getting a replacement propeller assembly so that I wouldn't need to worry about having the pump die one day.

When first turned on, both units tend to run in reverse about half the time. This usually corrects itself within a few minutes though - is this normal?

I'm planning on buying a 6055 soon, and noticed that the shaft has been changed - so I'm sure the new 6055 will be fine =)

Do you mean the metal shaft that is part of the pump or the plastic shaft of the drive unit?

It's the metal shaft that connects to the "magnet" looking thing that the propellor spins on.

Forgive my wording, but here's the best description i can give:


Little (plastic?) nub at the end, metal washer, and through it all is a metal shaft heading out through a magnet and then to the propellor.

That shaft on one of my 6025's is glued(?) or otherwise attached to the little nub at the end, while on the other it can slide out (and the little tiny washer falls away).

As I said, it does still work like normal when assembled, but I wanted to know if it was something I needed to fix, and if so, how to go about doing it - because when I take it apart to clean it the whole thing falls apart heh

They are not glued, everything is just pressed together. Send me the pump and I will replace it-
