6025's Starting in Reverse

Hello,
I recently bought 2 tunze 6025's (less than one month) and 90% of the time they start in reverse and I have to put my hand in the tank to cover the output to make them turn the right way. Is there anyway to fix this?

How old is the pump?
Some of ther older models had issues with spacing and this was fixed on newer pumps with the addition of another washer.

If its a newer pump it could be one of two things. The motor block or the drive unit. Its generally the drive unit thats gets stuck and is unable to change direction. You can remove the drive unit and check everything is ok and there is no damage or restrictions. The stainless steel shaft should not come out as its attached to the pump. Check to see if there is a washer inderneath the drive unit.

These pumps have a 2yr warranty so if its still under warranty these can be fixed it there are issues.
