6045 bracket

I have had a 6045 for 11 months now and it has worked great. I had to superglue the bracket to the magnet because the little peg things broke. No big deal. Now, one of the arms that holds the powerhead in the bracket has broken and superglue isn't strong enough to hold it. The glue lets go when you try to get the powerhead in the bracket.

Can you buy just the bracket? If so, please tell me where to get it.

I tried to search for this problem but the search function was diasabled.

Hey mkhenry, I have had exactly the same problems and have went about it exactly the same way. This is my first Tunze product and I'm really not impressed with the craftsmanship. Quite unlike their reputation.

6045 bracket

I found and ordered a brackett from Marine Depot but I think I will need the inside tank magnet also. I superglued the bracket to the magnet when the attaching pegs broke and I doubt I can get this broken bracket off the magnet. So I guess my real queston is...where can I buy the mounting magnet?

The problem was rectified about 2 months ago or so(dont remember exactly when the new revision came out). the material they are made from was changed from Lexan to Luran and the design was slighty altered making the tabs thicker thus solving both the tabs breaking and the clamp portion cracking at the arm.

Anyone that has a broken one simply needs to PM or email roger with thier name and contact info(address etc...) and he is replacing them as he gets more in under warranty

Superglued brackets can usually be pulled off with a apir of pliers if you have not tried.

Yeah I've experienced the same problem. I have two 6045's where the bracket has just snapped off, supergluing it only seems like a temporary fix, anytime I adjust the powerhead I'm afraid it will break again. How much was the brackett?
