Hi Roger, had a quick question for you. I am in the middle of upgrading my tank to a 75g. I was keeping my options open as far as stocking for corals go(some sps).
I had planned on getting the 6055 nano's but i lost my job this week and am trying to figure some ways to save some $$. I was wondering if the 6045's flow will be ok in a 75? I know it's noncontrollable and and my tank is bare bottom i just wanted to make sure it was ok for my tank. If i would be better to try and save to get a 6055 i will, i also was thinking about a 6060, will that be ok in a 75?

Thanks for any help
(I also have a hydor 4(1200gph) to go with the 6045)

75 is pushing what it is designed for. The literature states up to 53 gals. The flow covers a 36" by 18" area and while it would work additional flow is definitely required and it will be on the low flow side. The 6055 covers a 4ft by 18" area and would be better suited to this size tank.

It should be OK but it may cause issues with a sand bed, the adjustable ones are better for this reason.
