6045 shaft

Roger,
I have a pair of 6045 nano's that have been running for around three weeks. Last week one of the nanos started rattling. I unplugged it, let it rest, then restarted it later and found the same rattle. They have been running continuously since installation(24/7, not timed). I just took it out and found the shaft had corroded (black oxidation), and wonder if it is supposed to be fixed in the drive unit, or can be removed? It appears that it is broken, as there is a bit that I can see at the base of the drive unit. Is this a fixable part, or do I need to send it in for repair.
Thanks
Matt Hanson

It needs to be replaced. This hasn't been very common but the 6045 was made with a very tight hole as is the 6025 now. The shaft is pressed in with a hydraulic press and it seems in some cases it was stressed and cracked. The shaft should be permanently part of the pump. Send me a PM and we will arrange to replace your motor.
