6045 Spinning Backwards

Hello Roger, My 6045 keeps spinning backwards and when it tries to correct, just shuts down. I tried a new impellar but it did the same thing. What do you think it can be?

It could be the metal shaft has broken or pulled out of the pump or the disk is missing/worn out. The shaft should stay permanently fixed in the motor, it is not supposed to be removable.

I did not see a shaft in there. Can I replace the shaft or do I have to replace the whole motor?

The motor has to be replaced. How old is the pump?
