6045 wont turn anymore

ok i got 2 6045's about a year ago and one of them has always acted up a little , like stop turning the prop but once i would put a little pressure on the prop it would start again and last that way for weeks on end. last couple of days i noticed it would stop and again after apply pressure on prop (trying differant angles and such) it again would kick over but only last a few days. today it stopped and no matter what kind of pressure i would place on prop it just wont turn.

tried vinigar bath but still nothing....is there a way to remove shaft from pump to clean out?

Do not remove the shaft, it should stay in the pump permanently. My guess is the drive unit has worn out, the older white plastic drive units could break down and the magnet would no longer engage the shaft. The best remedy is probably to send us the pump so we can check everything out and replace anything that needs to be replaced.
