what parts would i need to make a battery back up for this, living in florida one always has to consider backing up. thanks.

A battery of suitable size, keep in mind every 1aH is basically 1 hr of use. A charger and suitable terminal connectors for the battery you choose. You also need the 6105.500. Don't get carried away with the battery. Realistically after a hurricane you won't have power to cool the tank, getting ice for yourself can even be an issue so in a long power failure in summer you are pretty much screwed, try for a back up that will last a day, in summer after a few days the inhabitants will basically be cooked anyway so flow is a moot point, with a solar charger you will be able to keep running much longer if you can set it up on the roof or in the yard. The ideal for your situation in my opinion would be a 25-30aH gel cell battery and a small solar charger.

Where can you get a decent solar panel setup? It sounds like you have one but am curious who you would recommend.

Fry's sells them as does Northern Tool and I think Batteries Plus does as well. You would just need a small panel to charge the battery, something that is about 24 by 12" should do the job well. They sell them for charging batteries on Yachts and RV's most commonly.
The Gel Cell battery is what backs up your alarm and runs your kids power wheels and is inside the computer UPS systems, so yes, it is safe to use indoors but it is still a battery and carries risks and should not be exposed to salt water. When I was about 14 I built a low speed electric car for a school project and the gel cell batteries caught fire due to a wiring mistake so nothing involving electricity and batteries will ever be absolutely safe.
