6055 clicking noise

Hi Roger,
I have 4 x 6055's that were bought in Canada a few months after they became available.
I've replaced one of the drive units with the new "white prop and black shaft" unit. I did not add/change of the disks (between the drive unit and the bottom of the shaft in the motor block) ... so looking down the shaft I just see the stainless steel washer (when I remove the stainless steel washer the shaft seems to be seated in some kind of white/grey disk?, which does not appear to be removeable).
I know you've previously said in another thread ...
"It is normal on the 6025 and 6045 for a few seconds at most on start up but the 6055 should not, earlier pumps did and then we developed the new drive unit to solve that. As long as you have the black 6025.74 it should be OK. The disks should be stacked 2 high in a 6055, you can leave the old white one and put a black one on top. You should be able to get the 6055.70 under warranty.

But could you just clarify exactly what I should be doing with the new drive unit on an "old' 6055 ... how many / what type of discs, what are the all the part numbers that are involved, etc.?

The black drive unit uses graphite reinforced plastic, and the disk is made of the same material. The latest 6025.74 is double thick so you need only one but you must remove the older stainless steel and nylon disk which is not so easy. You need a pick or tweezers or fine needle nose pliers to extract the disk.
