Any recommendations on how to add a small DC power source to run one of my 6055's during a power failure? I'm looking for an inexpensive but reliable solution to keep a small amount of water movement during short power failures.
Does the 6055 only draw current from the second source when the primary power goes away? Couldn't one just add a small 12V battery that would only be used when power drops? With power failures only once per year or so and only lasting an hour at most (my location is pretty good) wouldn't that do it. I could just replace the battery after any failure. Suggestions?
PS - I really like these 6055's. Been quite an improvement over MJ1200's.
