6055 power supply

Can someone tell me what voltage setting a 6055 should be on. The power supply has a slide lever from 12v-15v-18v-20v-22v-24v
Is this like the min/max screw adjustment on the old 6100 drivers?

So after changing the setting from 18v to 24v, I blew out my 7095 controller....nice (powered off before changing voltage as per instructions on power supply)
I also see that without the blown controller hooked up, the voltage setting is for the max speed of the pump.
Now I either need to get a newer 7096 controller or the Aqua Surf since I have an AC3 but I had the Aqua Surf years ago when they were intro'd at Macna and didn't like it too much. Always needed to be unplugged and reset for some reason.

You can use any voltage and it should not affect the controller. My guess would be the controller problem is a coincidence and not related. The transformer voltage sets the speed range, but in all cases the controller gets an 8V signal. I would send in the controller.

Is it less than 2 years old? It may be under warranty if so. It may also be just a bad cable or connection. I have never seen one die like this so I would be curious to see what is wrong?

It's more then 2 years old.
If I send it back for repair and it cost more then a 7096, will and can you give me the option to just replace with a 7096?

Thanks,
Warren
