6055 ?

Roger,i am trying to use my 6055 to make a wave in my 32"x32"x16" tank.when it pulses on and off it is very noisy.i talked with you and saw the nano wavebox at MACNA.the nano wavebox was very quiet.is there something i need to modify for my 6055 for it to be quiet pulsing on/off?i am running it off a neptune aquasurf.

When did you get your 6055? Is the shaft of the drive unit (prop assembly) black or white? On the newest ones only prop blades themselves are white and these have a tighter fit. Is the noise a clicking noise or what type of noise is it?

Roger,i got it about 4.5 months ago from FAOIS.i am not sure if the drive unit is black or white,ill check later,the prop is white.
the noise is a clicking noise and it is loud enough that i reset the pump back the way i was running it.

We solved that problem in December with a black shaft drive unit (graphite/plastic) and tighter fitting prop. PM your address and we will send one. You will have to install a new disk as well.

thanks Roger for the quick turnaround,i got my relpacement parts today for my nanostreams.if i have any other problems i will LYK,but i dont see that happening.

which side of the drive does the little black grommet go?do i put it on before the drive or on top of the drive?

Before, take out the stainless steel one if there was one, it should just fall out. Use the drive unit to push the black disk down to the bottom.

thanks,i have them running and getting a small wave right now.would modding the intake allow a bigger wave to be produced?

I don't think you can get more flow out of a 6055 than it makes stock. It would also flare the flow wider which may actually reduce the wave.
