I just set up my 7096 and my two 6055 click when they are powered on. when its at 30/100 and 100/30, they are fine, but the 0/100 100/0 make a better wave. Is there an easy fix?

Edit: one is a slight click... you might not hear it if you are a few feet away, the other is very loud.

so you can control the lower speed? What about the higher speed? Can you bring 100 down to say 70%? And sorry no clue on your question. I'm still trying to figure mine out.

Edit: actually I just tried and its greyed out. Can't change either. Hmm

Are these pumps older? Made before about Aug 2010? In August of 2010 we changed a few parts to reduce the click, older pumps would click. It is a fairly simple and inexpensive upgrade. The date of purchase would be the biggest help as if they are older than Feb 2008, another part may be needed as well.

I bought them used and the previous owner said they were about 2 years old. I dont know if there is a manufacturing date, but they have white impellers, which i read is the older model?

You will need a tool like our 0220.707, you can get such a pick tool at most hardware stores. You will use it to remove the existing 6025.740 disk and then install the new 6055.740 disk. You can order the disk and tool on Tunze.com.

Do you if this is something a local fish store or online retailer would have, or is it only available from tunze.com?

Also, is that specific tool needed or will a straightened, curved tipped paper clip work?

You will need a pick type tool or very small needlenose, the pick is preferred, a paperclip will not have enough rigidity. The disk is on there pretty firmly and it takes a bit of effort to pull the old one out and I hesitate to recommend needlenose as if you grab the shaft and pull it out the pump is ruined, the pick makes that mistake impossible. You can generally get a pack of 4 different picks at Lowes or Sears for $7-$10. This is not a super common spare part, a tunze.com order comes directly to me and is shipped from the US, I can't recall any dealers who stock this part.
