6060 Reverse Flow Problem

I'm not sure what has happened, but every time I turn on my 6060 it runs in reverse. I have to turn it off/on several times now to get going in the right direction.

I have had the PH for about a year and a half, but the Drive Unit (part # 6080.600) was replaced in the last couple of months. I have removed the Drive Unit and cleaned it, but still no joy.

Suggestions?

How often are you turning it on and off? It sounds like the brake shoes are broken.

I turn off the PH once a day during feeding. When I had the Drive Unit out for cleaning I did not notice anything visibly wrong, but I did not check that the brake shoes were actually functioning properly.

Check the drive unit, one of three things is wrong. The brakes are loose, broken or damaged. The oring under the upper bearing was lost at some point and the drive unit is below the area where the brakes engage. Or, the bearing bush is not fully inserted.
