6060 stream stopped working

I have a Tunze Turbelle stream 6060 A that has stopped moving water. The propeller goes around in fits, sometimes stoping, and sometimes appearing to in the opposite direction. Any suggestions? It is not all that old, about 6 months. Do I need a new propeller shaft? Any other suggestions?

Unplug it for now. Was it ever used on a wavemaker? Can you see any parts fused together with calcium? If it hasn't been cleaned yet it is due for one and if it was used on a wavemaker likely the brake shoes are broken, that is why you cannot run them on a wavemaker.

Hi Roger. Thanks for answering. No, it was never used on a wavemaker. There is no buildup that I can see.

It sounds like the brake shoes have broken, do you still have your manual? Can you go through the drive unit dissassembly and check everything.

Yes I do. I'll check on that. Are the brake shoes replaceable? Thanks for your time.

Yes, and if they are broken this ould be warranty, let me know what you find, if you can find the problem send it in and I'll get it fixed.
