6060 stream to much flow for me

I have a 150 gallon set up that is 48 x 30 x 24 high and I recently put a 6060 stream in to get more flow. The problem that I am having is that no matter where I put the stream, corner to corner/corner to the center or any other position the stream blows my sand bed into a big pile after a couple of days running. I am not sure what else to do. I have removed the stream and put my power heads back in. Ay suggestions besides removing the sandbed.

That aquarium should definitely be able to handle the flow. I can't say what else could be done, the sand must be extremely fine or not yet aggregated or cultured by bacteria so it has nothing to hold it in place.
