6060 stuck

I have had a 6060 stream for about 2 years now. It has seized up before, but soaking in vinegar has always worked. Now after soaking it, it will only spin about 3/4 of a full turn before it hits major reistance. I tried pulling the drive unit out but it will not budge. Any idea on how to fix this?

It is stuck, it will have to be sent in and drilled out. The cost of the new parts will be $27.09. I won't charge the labor but in the future it has to be cleaned more often. Please place the pump in a ziplock bag with the cord hanging out (such that the plug end is not in the bag. You could also wrap it with saran wrap. It is a tremendous help if the pump stays moist in transit since if the calcium fully hardens they are even harder to get out.

I had been taking it out and soaking it at least every three weeks because it had been seizing up so much lately. Was I doing it too often?

Yes, that is too often, I can only figure parts were not getting cleaned well enough, calcium sticks to other calcium so if you have deposits forming they accumulate quickly if they are not removed. Unless you have excessive levels of KH or calcium they should only need to be cleaned every 3 months at most.
