Dam, I ordered one for marine Depot yesterday and today they sent me an email that they are backordered.

3-5 weeks.......sigh

Same here, talked to them when they opened, damn, I thought these things were available!

I can only hope it won't take so long, Tunze was closed from December 24th to January 7th and the first production runs of Streams just started last week. There were plenty of pumps available during the holdidays but apparently they sold out and until I get resupplied it is the way it is. I was told that some Streams would be sent this week, so far only 6080's are en route.

Tomorrow they will send 50 6060 Streams over. It will take a week for me to get them and about another week for MD to get them. Give us 3 weeks to get them in your hands. I promise it is worth waiting for and you will see when you get the pumps. They are pretested and built to a very high quality standard and you will see this- you will get your moneys worth.

Ok roger, Ill have to wait and see. Hopefully it takes no more than 3 weeks. Champion lighting.com has the 6080 in-stock but I think it is too strong for my tank. What do you think?

Well I ordered the 6080. Should be here tomarrow.
Hopefully its not too powerfull for my tank.

For a 4ft tank unless it is all SPS that is an aweful lot of flow. I tried to reply earlier but the server was busy, I honetly would advise against it. You have pumps, it isn't an emergency so why spend $180 on something that you won't be able to return after you have used it.

It is still alot of flow, if you don't have fine sand and your main goal is SPS it can be done but otherwise it is too much.

OK, if you have fairly coarse substrate yoiu may be able to pull it off, I had a friends that ran one in a 120 for about 2 months and then he got married and his wife made him get rid of the tank. It is going to be some serious flow though.

Well, I don't think I can talk you out of it so you will see. It won't be impossible but definitely at the high end of desirable flow.

6080, ouch.. I thought about the 6080, for all of about a second before I realized it would never work in my tank (4 ft). If anything, the 6000 would have been a better choice if you were so hot on buying something. You could at least turn that one down if you wanted to.
