6080 magnet availability low.. Okay to use 6200?

Hey Roger -

I talked with marinedepot today and found out that my backorder for the 6080 magnet holder was not going to come in until mid march.. He said however that the 6200 was going to be in around mid february..

As I was planning on getting my tank started middle february is it okay to use the 6200 magnets on my 1/2" acrylic tank? I realize they are overkill for my application but if they will WORK then I don't mind spending the extra to get it sooner..

Also, are the 6200 magnets physically larger than the 6080 or is it just stronger magnets used?

Thanks

Thanks a lot for the reply! I ordered two really quick.. I will give them a call tomorrow just to make sure they did have them in stock and cancel the ones from marine depot.. Thanks again you may have saved me a bunch of time :)

6200's are too powerful... I wish I got the smaller one... I have an acrylic tank, I would be too scare to use that on a regular glass tank.

amuruges - confirmed with myreefcreations today that they were in stock and it got shipped out today!! Apparently these things are in super high demand, he said he sold 20 of them in as many minutes!

Thanks again man you saved me so much time :)
