6095/6105 flow pattern

How do I change this?
How is the flow pattern of these pumps affected by the output? Does the flow pattern change when they are running at lower speeds? I've read a post you gave about the flow pattern, but you said it was at full speed...

"A 6095 has a 3ft by about 30" flow pattern, a 6105 with 6205.130 front housing at 24V has a 4.5ft by 36" flow pattern"

And how wide is it at about 4-6" away from the pump?

I'm trying to decide between the 6095 and 6105 with larger housing for a
4'x2'x16". Right now I've got two koralia's and I'm dealing with sand blowing around and dead spots at the same time. I have one 1400gph and one 1050gph.

With either of the Tunze's I'll need to turn them down due to the shallow height. I want to go with one of these two over the 6055 because I'll be upgrading to a 120 as soon as the wife and I move out of this second story condo in the next year or two. I just want to make sure the width of the flow pattern won't change too much at lower speeds, and I'm also trying to figure out how I would aim them. They'll be run off my apex with a fairly complicated and "random" flow pattern, changing speeds and ramping up and down often. Thanks

The flow flares out rather quickly, at 4-6" the diameter is already at least 12" across. You can also aim them up to minimize sand disturbance. I would have to say 6095 in this scenario as the 6105 will be hard to get adjusted in the current tank to avoid sand disturbance.

So twelve inches wide at 4-6" away from the pump is for the 6095 or both? I want is to get wide as quickly as possible, so that's a good thing. Glad to hear the flow rate doesnt affect the pattern.

The voltage will greatly affect the reach and to a more limited extent the width but mainly the flow won't reach as far at lower power.

That was for the 6095, 6105 flares out a bit more slowly.

Ok. With two I'm not too concerned about the length as much as the width. Interesting. I would have thought the 6105 with larger housing would flare out sooner. I'll definitely go with the 6095's then. Thanks for the help Roger!

The longer snout and full width cross hatch tighten and focus the flow more on the 6105.

Having used both of them, I would go with the 6095 like Roger suggested. I took my 6105 out of my 93 cube and replaced with another 6095 and couldnt be happier.
