What's the deal?

Pump1:

Pump2:

And pump2 has voltage jumpers???

They also have different magnets. Which one is the newer version?
One has an instruction booklet from 2012 and the other 2015, what's the deal?

Thanks for the help in advance.

I beleive the one with voltage jumpers is newer but with the controllers it comes with they shouldnt matter anyway. Both will work just fine

I looked closer. It seems the voltage jumper one is older. The instruction booklet is from 2012 and the other one is 2015. Me thinks that I will have the vendor send me the newer model. I do not want a pump from 2012 that I bought in 2015.

Part 6055.240 has the jumpers.
Part 6096.240 does not.

Part 6025.500 black magnet
Part 6025.515 blue trimmed magnet

Why jumpers? And which would I use?

It may be weird, but I want matching pumps. I want symmetry, a little OCD and all.

The jumpers were used to turn the power down so you would get less flow from the pump, this helped when they didnt come with controllers

The manual date is a revision date and not a printing date, if it has a controller it was made after June 2015 (no controller before then). The magnets and power supplies transitioned around the same time. Since the new pumps include a controller, the jumpers are not needed so they have been discontinued. 6055 and 6095 used 6055.240 (jumper power supply should be set to 24V with 7090) or 6095.240 (no jumper for use with 7090 controller). I suspect the one pump is from June/July production, the other is from later this year.

The info is good to know. Glad to see there is a reason for the differences and it's not "old stock".

For aesthetic purposes I want matching magnets, and the blue magnets look better IMO. So far the one pump is in the tank and is working great. I am glad I went Tunze and dropped the MP40's.
