Very nice! HOUSE FTW!
ha, i actually just remodeled my house and it came out nice but Im going to keep this thread more on track.

Ive been waivering back and forth on lighting but I finally just pulled the trigger for a blue wave 250, 250w 20k radium, on the LB mini reflector. It was tough because I do love T5s but I wanted the ati 6 or 8 bulb and that price tag is just alittle too steep when I can use this set up for less than half. im sure Ill be very happy with that lighting combo.

UPDATE on tank stand. i painted the inside and cut the top. I also picked up foam for the bottom of the tank. after that I cut the trim and fit it up. take a look. I really like the way it turned out.

What are you going to do about your return?
Going to be drilling a hole yourself?

Do you plan on fitting your whole filter setup in the stand or what?

Lastly, Whatcha Gonna Put in the Tank?

there is a 3/4" return line drilled under the overflow box.

I was planning on decreasing the sump to a 20" long tank (which i already have) and fitting my skimmer+return pump in there. Also in the planning stages of adding a shelf for a ATO resevoir above the sump. The inside area under the tank is roughly 23.5"x23"x37". so if I put my sump and Kalk reactor on the bottom of the cabinet with a small 2.5gallon resevoir Ill have enough room for almost all my equipment minue my refuge.

I plan on transfering most of my SPS colonies with a few zoas+lps. then adding a YT, clown, goby, manderin, maybe a new fish too.

ahh, 23.5" space means no 24" sump, severely limiting options. Had the same problem myself. Next time I'll factor in sump selection when designing the stand.
At least your stand is tall, so a tall sump should work.
Very nice work!

how thick is the glass and is it starphire..Do you think that the overflow will cast a shadow in your tank? sorry if this has been asked.. I'm trying to do a same size tank and having trouble making up my mind...thanks

ryno, the glass is 3/8" thick and not starfire. the overflow is only 3" deep so the pendant will shine down light will penetrate and not shadow.

thanks letik.

thats what I thought too. 180.00 extra for maybe a slight increase in clarity. I have a 90 wiith .5" SF glass and its tough to see a difference with water filled.
