owah forgot to say a very important detail.. i live in Portugal ( Europe ), it's not easy to get the Rare species...
thanks!

Well, what do you like to start off? Anything catch your eye? You pick a fish you definitely want and we can build around that.-Ross

reef tank! LPS and SPS dominated
I like a lot of clownishes, i dunno if i can try to have a small tang..
I am going to pass from my nano reef one gish already a pseudochromis fridmani. I would like to have a six line wrasse too..
Chromis viridis are cool, but i heard a lot of things about they killing the most weak of the group and u always stay with 1 or 2 of the 5 or 7 that u bought.

clownfish are great for a 60 and do extremely well in a reef. I would pass on the tang as all of them will grow too large for your tank. If you get chromis I wouldnt buy more than two as they will kill each other off. Have you thought about getting a pygmy angel? A small harem of Royal Grammas would do well in your setup.

Hi stykthyn,
y thought to pass on the tang, at liveaquaria ( the website where i see the species ) only the Yelloy Tang is considered as possible to keep in 50 gal.. the chromis i was thinking of pass because of that problem. The Dwarf Angelfish are very beautuful, but i don't like that thing of '' can nipple the corals'' . What grammas are u talking about?
thanks a lot for your help!

flasher wrasses, gobies, blennies, a lot of variety in those classes, and not combative.

i have a 65 and I am going w/ all small fish....

So far I only have 2 clowns, and I just got a Pseudochromis Elangatus (Elegant Dottyback) yesterday and he is awesome!

beautiful coloration and supposed to be on of the less aggressive pseudos..

Since my 65g isn't very big, having a bigger fish just doesn't look natural to me...I would rather see several smaller fish living happy in their little slice of reef instead of one big fish cooped up in a tiny glass box..

EDIT: just read you already have a fridmani...adding the elangatus would be a bad idea

Hey.. thanks for your answers!
JER-Z what fishes are u thinking to add more?
U'r right about big fishes, with lots of small fishes the reef will seem much more realistic, it seems '' bigger'' .

Decided to put a BTA, and ocelaris.
Pretty curious about what stykthyn was saying about the royal grammas, what specie are u talking about?
thanks

I agree with Jer-Z, it would look good to add 6-8 small reef fish. I had thought about this and wish I had gone that route with my 55g. With that being said I have a pair of clowns, coral beauty, and a yellow tang in my 55g.

Hi blmeier7,
Is the Coral beauty nipping corals?
I thought of 2 dwarf angels, like a flame one and the coral beauty, but i am afraid for my corals!

AJF, the coral beauty I have does not nip at any of my corals. I have had him for almost a year now and the only time I have seen him nip is at my nassarius snails. He does this when the nassarius start to climb the glass and he appears to be knocking them down. From what I have read most people don't have too many problems with them nipping but ever now and then you get one that causes problems.

From what I have heard most all dwarf angels fall into the category of being possible nippers. According to other reefers here at RC there is about a 75% chance you wont have any problems. You will have to decide if you are willing to take the risk.

Yes.. it said that it should be kept singly, can i have a little harem with 3 or 4 gramas?
Thanks a lot for your help!

i have another question.. about the banghai cardinal, should they be kept in group? in pairs?
