Alarm went off on the controller. After removing the shroud, the problem was evident...the propeller fell to the bottom with the broken shaft.

Do I replace the complete inner assembly or ?? Please provide part # or parts breakdown for the powerhead..

THanks for the help Roger!!

My best suggestion would be to upgrade to*the drive /unit design we introduced in 2006 for 6000/6100 which has fewer parts, part 6100.700. The shaft only is 6080.640 but you likely need some related parts that were the cause of it breaking and with the age a complete new drive unit will definitely improve the performance. This link has the old spare parts break down and any parts can be ordered on Tunze.com-

Arrived back home to find the parts...TY. AFter removing the old parts( inc o-ring) replaced one of the kits. Two issues

1) Doesn't dependably engage(rotate) 100% of the time, It sets the alarm off. Yet when I go to the power head, It rotates easily

2) When its turning on, it sounds like my RC boat, I can hear the prop turning the water 2 rooms away

I have removed new inculding the rear alignment ring and spacer and reseated it...same

edit: Received 2 kits 6100.700 blue props

1) This is likely a motor that is failing, possibly the driver is turned down below 100% and a controller is being used, the driver must be turned to full power (potentiometer access hole on right side of driver box) when a controller is used.

2) The newer style drive unit is a little louder, especially for the first 2 weeks, it should wear in and quiet down.

1) Reset potentiometer..alarm cleared

2) I will report back in a couple weeks on the noise

and why do I buy Tunze, because you know the products !!

TY Roger !!
