6100 falling off swivel mount.

I have a 6100 that seems to have opened up where the swivel mount slides in. Is there anything that can be done to make this hold on it's mount? Is this a common problem? I have four of these and this is the only one that does this.

You can buy this as a spare part. Have a look on Tunze's web site where you can browse through the spare parts catalogue. There is usually a photo of the part to aid in selection.

I have not heard of the pumps slip widening. Have you tried one of the swivel mounts from another pump to see if it is just the part not the motor block causing it?

Some time when you have your pump pulse on very fast interval it will worn out the swivel arm and eventually will fall off due to:

1. Swivel arm worn out
2. The slip getting large due to the fast rocking motion.

Most of the time it happened with those who run the pump on the 6091 controller. You can use black zip tie to keep it together or Permanently clue it into the body using PVC clue...

I did purchase a couple of the new slip mounts hoping it was that. It has obviously just worn out the top of the pump. It's a big deal as two of these are going to be hidden in the rock mounts. It still works perfectly, I was just curious if this had happened before. They are on the 7095.

I have seen this a couple times, not sure as to the cause but I have found a fix. I just hold the underside of the 6080.40 about 3-4 inches over a gas stove top, be careful fire is hot, use pliers and an oven mit, until the plastic softens and then slap it down on a cutting board to spread the tabs a bit, if you just add a mm or so to them they will really lock in. Alternatively, you can use a broad tip on a soldering iron and melt and spread the plastic out a bit.
