Hello,

I just got 6100 used but it didn't come with the power supply (black puck w/ power cord) Can I get the part # and cost on one of those?

Would this be the part I need to up my 6000's to the 6100's?

How's the availability on this?

We have some in stock but if you are wanting them I would get an order in soon. 6100 motors are already out of production, as area all other parts except drive units, we probably have nearly a hundred transformers in stock between the US and Germany but once those are gone that is it. I have eight in stock here.

roger, what is the life on a 6100 motor?is there any other part we should have as back up so we can keep the 6100's running for many more years?
thanks

As a general rule we build with a 5 year life span target. I have seen motors that are amongst the first made in 2002 that still run and I have seen some that only last a couple years. The key is to keep them clean and avoid power surges, use a surge supressor.

thanks roger, ill think about ordering a pair.Mine are from 2003.I have them plugged into a surge protector/power strip,is that what your talking about?thanks

Yes, it sounds like you are doing everything correct, but they are 6 years old. I probably would not invest a huge amount in keeping them running. They could likely last 6 more years but it is like an old car, you reach a point where it is cheaper to replace it.

"Its like a old car, youll need to replace it".Now see roger i liked you up till this point, now i hate you.LOLj/k.I have a "OLD CAR"in the garage that is worth 10x's the amount it was sold for and to be honest run nicer then my 07 silverado. It s a 63 nova ss and when i bought it it sat behind a machine shop for 5 years and i checked for spark, put gas and new battery and it started first time.46 year old motor still nocking and pinging.maybe ill have the same luck with this "old tunzes"
But thanks for the help and advice!!

I like old cars too, I actually am restoring a 1967 200D Mercedes, but the value is mostly emotional. I also have an 07 Dodge and I know what you mean, I owe more than it is worth and the check engine light is perpetually on, but it still has a warranty if I care to hassle with bringing it in and sitting in a waiting room for a few hours.
