6100 versus 6101

I had a quick question. What is the difference between the two models?

6100 has an external driver and copper coil power supply. 6101 uses a modern DC electronic power supply and the driver is internal.

which is the better model of the two??

I have a chance to buy either of these in almost new shape but was wondering long term what the better of the two was in your opinion.

6100 is my personal preference. They are bulkier because they have a heavy torroidal coil power supply and external electronics, but they are a bit more durable and cheaper to repair in the long run. The 6101 has the electronics built into the pump and the power supply is a standard lap top power supply.

Thanks for the reply and honest opinion. I was hoping to find some 6100s new still but they are getting hard to find with the new models out.
