6101 and 7095 problems...

Hello,

I have 2 x Tunze 6101 pumps and a 7095 multicontroller. Today I noticed that tank was sitting still and I wasn't getting any flow. after a minute or so one of my pumps started working. but, when the pulse level changes the flow stops. this seems to happen with both pumps. so I think I have a bad controller. I unplug the control cables and both pumps blast full stream. ok bad controller right?

then one of the pumps stop, and after further inspection i see that dc converter power(out) connector is sitting slightly out of the of the slip fitting, I push it in as far in a I can - pump starts working again. ok problem solved right? I plug everything back in - controller functions, pumps are going, then same problem again. I check all the connections, and again the connector is slightly out of the slip fitting. ok so i hold the connector in and pumps works again. ok, looks like I have a connection issue. the slip fitting is too loose to hold the connector in.

what should I do? send back the whole pump because of the fitting issue? should i squeeze the slip fitting with some pliers to make a tighter fit?

sorry for the long story, but maybe someone else might find this useful.

The 7095 tends to be pretty bullet proof, short of the controller getting wet, I can count on one hand the number of actual defective units I have seen. My guess is the pumps are the problem. When they start to fail due to a defect they usually stop communicating with the controller as a first symptom.

Send the pumps in-
