6101 dead as a doornail

I have a used 6101 that appears to be dead as a doornail. I've given it a good vinegar bath and I'm using a known good 9035 power supply, but when I plug it in, I get nothing at all. I tried the impeller assembly out of another known good 6101 with no joy. In taking it apart, I noticed a white "lining" inside the motor block. This is different than the working 6101 I owned that was black inside. What do you think this is?

Looks like calcium deposits to me, put some full strength vinegar in the motor block and see if it sizzles and bubbles. Or try a diluted solution of muriatic acid.

Thanks, I may wait until Roger gets back to talk to him about potential repair costs before sending it in. I have no idea if this is under warranty or not.

The pumps made in mid 2007 had the white lining, it is a fiberglass material that replaced an older graphite reinforced plastic. Early on we did not have the proper black color for the new plastic but the only difference between this pump and your other one is the plastic is not colored black. It would be out of warranty but we can upgrade you to a 6105 for about half of what a new pump would cost if you send it in.

Any replacement motor blocks for 6000 stream?

Any replacement motor blocks for 6000 stream?

Hi Roger,
One of my four 6000 streams stopped and the driver alarm was going off so I took the stream and soaked in vinegar but it's not working. The motor block will try to turn the prop initially in reverse and then stops and the alarm comes back on. I tried a different prop to no avail so does it sound like a bad motor block?
If so, what is compatible to the obsolete 6000? I'm sure that you don't have any extra motor blocks lying around.
Guess it time to start replacing, my 7095 shorted and you helped me out with a discounted 7096 after I sent in the 7095, thank you for that sir :)

Yes, but I am out of these replacement units, and they do not include magnet holders as a new 6105 would, it is a retrofit kit and they include an adapter clamp for the old rail or magnet holders. I expect more kits in 2 weeks.
