6101 Reliability

Have a 6101 in one of the no longer sold Tunze deco rocks. Pump has been running constantly in the corner of the reef tank tank for over a year and a half (controlled by a Apex). Keep meaning to pull it out and give it a clean, but too lazy I suppose.

Can't beat Tunze for reliability, try that with any other mfg. :beer:

The deco rocks are still available, they are smaller now- item 6200.250. I would clean the pump soon as they can burnout from locking up and be very difficult to disassemble once they have locked up.

I purchased my osmolator in July 2013 and now my pump has completely stop working. I unplugged the unit and checked the input but no luck. Please advise.

Please try the pump with a 9V battery, just touch the wires to the batteries terminals. This will confirm that it is the pump if it still does not run.
