6101 vs the 6100

What is the main difference between these 2 pumps. I already have the 7095 controller and I am looking to get 2 tunze for my 120 display which is 48 X 24 X 24. I was told to go with the 6101. I think that is to much flow for that size tank what do you think? Someone has a good price on the 2 6000's would that be sufficient on a tank my size also are the 6000 able to be controlled on the 7095 controller? I am planning on going sps dominated tank

The 6101 replaced the 6000 and 6100, it can function as either pump, they look identical the only difference is in the electronics.

would you think that a pair of 6000 should be plenty of flow for my tank with my dimensions

Yes but 6101 set at 15V would provide the exact same flow.

The 6101 also has a nice battery backup option that you cant do with the 6000/6100.

are the tunze 6100.10 the 6100's or 6000? cause I was suppose to get the tunze 6000 and the model on the back says 6100.10 so which did I get

The pump is the same. It depends on the size of the round transformer.

so the only difference is the transformer? is there a model on the transformer that will determine the one that I got?

One more question do I need the stock mounting for the magnet mount or the pump slides into the magnet without the stock mounting hardware. Also what magnet holder do i get for the 6000's they are going in a 120gal I am not srue the exact thickness of the glass

A 6000 has transformer 7210.202
A 6100 has transformer 7410.602

You need parts 6080.40 and 6080.23 from the included hardware in order to use the magnet holder.

should the 6080.50 be ok for a 120 I dont think that the glass is more then a 1/2 inch thick? OR would I be better ordering the 6200.50
