I turned off my pumps to do a water change. When I was done, my 6105 did not turn on, however my 5 year old 6100 did. I took out the impeller and found nothing wrong. I tried unplugging it to no avail. It is 1 month old today! Any suggestions before I get the sledge hammer out of the garage?

I noticed that when the 7096 switches from 30 to 75 the impeller twitches but doesn't spin.

It has a 2 year warranty, so long as you don't sledgehammer it and the electronics didn't get wet, you can send it in and we will replace it under warranty. It could be the motor had a defect and has failed or that the propeller is simply stuck to the shaft by calcium or grit. I would first check that the drive unit spins freely on the shaft and is not stuck by some foreign object, the pump will twitch and shut itself down if there is excessive resistance to turning.

I checked the impeller and found no defects. It continues to twitch along the pulsing of the 7096. I haven't tried the sledge hammer.;)

Please send it in, I am sorry for the hassle, but we will replace it, I only need the actual pump without the magnet holder or power supply-
