6105 wide flow kit.

Hi Roger,
I couldn't find the thread where you were talking about the shroud and jumper kit.

When can we expect these to be available and what is the expected RRP?

Note for anyone else reading this:
Do not hijack this thread and turn it into another back and forth about vortechs and streams. I don't care if you have an opinion on the subject.
If you have a question that relates to the kit directly then ask away so others reading don't have to ask the same questions again.
Thanks
Ross.

First, to clarify, the flow increase is due to the jumper, the higher voltage increases the pump speed. The jumpers are free, in the US we have them now.

The kit is for wide flow option and starting at the end of the year will be included in the box, it is the 6205.130 and 6205.200 at a much lower price and equal to the price increase of the pump including these items. I expect this to be available in November. This does not increase flow, it only diffuses it into a wider pattern.

Yes, it is kit 6205.130, which now includes the 6205.200 protective grid. Starting in about a month the price of the 6105 will go up the same amount and this will be included in addition to the narrow flow nozzle so you can choose based on tank length and width which to use. We don't have these yet, but the first wide flow kits should arrive in 2-3 weeks.

Thanks Roger. I was wondering about the protective grid and the kit.
It's a huge difference using the pumps without the grid.

Is this kit going to become available to the rest of us not living in the US?

Worldwide, the price for 6205.130 is already updated on Tunze.com, but the image is not, it doesn't yet show the grid and any dealers stock will still be without the grid.

Thanks for your time Roger.
I've been waiting for ages on this one and the local distrubutors are still wanting nearly double that price.
I'll get back in contact with them next week.

Have a good weekend.

Hi Roger,

I installed the wide flow kit and jumpers for my 6105 and couldn't be happier. Before I was having issues with the sand blowing around on my 60x24x24 tank. Now I am getting more flow, indicated by better polyp movement through out the tank, and no displaced sand.

Thank you!

Roger are these new wide kits in stock now? I'm looking to order off your site or better yet pick some up at reefapalloza this weekend maybe?

We had a few older 6205.130 without the protective grid and we just added it to fill some earlier orders. In the next week we should get the new ones complete with grid.

The revision is the added wide flow kit, roughly $35 higher price and weaker magnet holder due to the increased cost of magnets (.6" vs .75"). You honestly come out slightly ahead with the current version and the seperate 6205.130 wide flow kit, price is the same but you get a stronger magnet now. They will start to ship in late November. The only real advantage is the newer pumps have the quieter fixed shaft.

You can order 6205.130 now on the website, but they are out of stock, we would ship as soon as they came in.

i thought the revision would include the wide flow nozzel and extra jumpers when they come out.
if i purchased the current version, would i still call you for the 24V jumper upgrade or are they included in the current version?

The 6105 has always included 12 and 18V jumpers and we have already added 24V, if the 24V is missing they are available free of charge. The wide flow is really the only difference and it costs no more to buy it separately than it does to get it included.

The last 6105's we received have the wide flow kit in the box. As a spare part they are coming in, but we are behind on delivering them. Part 6205.130.

Hi Roger,

I ordered (2) 6250.130's from Tunze and they did not come with the grids :( Based what i read on here in the forum I expect them to come with them as discussed. How can I go about getting them, don't want to make sushi :/

Thanks
Erik
