Roger,
Please help me w/ my 2 6201s. They are 2 months old. It looks like the clip that slides into the magnet is shearing out (both pumps).
Can you fix this? The first month I had them on 100%, second month they have been pulsing.
I took a movie, but it will not upload.
I believe this has occurred in the last 2 weeks only.
Have you seen this problem recently?
My 6100 is doing fine on it's magnet for the last 2 years.
I'm afraid they will fall into tank and kill coral.
Thanks, Rodney

Hello Rodney, what kind of controller are you running it on? You need to switch the magnet before the pump run wild. Take the outside magnet switch with the inside.

FYI, continuous fast pulsing interval will break the magnet holder...

Hey Jar*Head,
I was just downstairs realizing that very point, that the outside mag is same as inside and switched!!---thanks very much for your reply tonight.
I'm running them on a Tunze multi-controller, pulsing every 6-8 seconds between the 2.
This has created a nice surge, along w/ a 6100, but should I go back to 100% continously?
The magnets are both broken--should I glue it in place?
That kind of sucks, what if it had fallen, my corals would be skeletons !!

Rodney, What setting are you using on the multi controller? You don't have to run it on 100% all the time. 30%-100% is best. I thought you are running the pump on 6091 wave controller.

Don't glue it because it will not last. You don't want to take the chance for it to run wild in the tank.

Thanks Roger,
Don't I need to buy another set of mags to replace these before I send you mine? Where do I send them? Do you need receipts from Aquacave?
Jar*Head,
I'm running them 30% 7 seconds, then 100% 7 seconds and oppposite for the other. Are the mags not made to handle these conditions, have you not encountered this problem before? I just changed them to 100% continuous hoping they will hold.
What setting/holders do I need to use for 6201s?
Rodney

Rodney, you are fine with 30%-100%. You must have got a defect magnet holder. It should work fine.... just send your magnet in so Roger can send you a replacement.

Thanks man, but I will need to buy new first or I will have no flow.
I'll do it as soon as I can. The hangers will not work on my tank, I tried it last night, the PH would bounce around.

No, I may be missing some parts (have the cups but couldn't put it on), I did the hanging thing on my first 6060, but it didn't last long, nearly fell in tank, so I've used mags for the last 4 years.
I would not trust the hangers w/ a 6201.
Thanks though, Rodney

I have use the bracket on tunze 6200 and 6212 wavebox without a problem. As for the suction cup, you need to insert the nut inside it and use the screw to secure it into the bracket...
