Got a 6212 wavebox with pump 6261. Problem is the small plastic box on the end of the pump got water in it and damaged the internals. Can this part be purchased or a driver off a 6100 be used.

Regards

In general this can be repaired, sometimes the motor may have been damaged by the resulting short. The best would be to contact your nearest repair center for the end to be replaced. What country are you in?

I'm in the uk. Could the part be purchased and solder the wires in myself. Also got a transformer and driver unit from a 6100, could these be used and just use the 6261 instead.

Thanks

You could check with Tunze UK, they may be able to send you this part. The 6261 has the electonics of the driver built into the pump and it is a different system that would not be compatible with the driver and transformer of the 6100.

It has no part number as it is not generally offered for sale, I refer to it as the end connector of the motor block.

Hiya,

Got a broken 6055 off a friend. I cut the end connector of the motor block off and connected to the 6261 mentioned above. The pump worked, pulsing with the controller. Could i use this end connector as i noticed it does'nt have the small white control knob that the original had.

Thankyou

Surely they must have a dead motor they can cut the end off. I don't mind sending one put postage to UK will be expensive.

You'd have thought so. I keep looking on a certain auction site for any non working tunze pumps, non about. I'd just need the end connector with a short length of cable to connect pump to. An estimate on postage would be greatly appreciated.

Thankyou

Looks like $23.95 for small parcel Priority Mail. I would be more comfortable if the old wires were soldered to the new connectors directly with no wire splices which I would consider hazardous and a fire risk. If you do it this way it will look like nothing was ever changed and will look stock and be much safer from the stand point of shorts.

That's fine. Understand about connecting. Local electronic shop said they could fit waterproof connector, would make pump disconnection for cleaning easier.

Thanks

Hmm, can you email me, I think because of your lower post count Pm's aren't an option. Tunze at sbcglobal dot net
