I just wanted to share a few shots of my 65 gal. Im still trying to take some decent pictures but the iPhone edit apps are pretty limited. The trick is not getting insanely blue shots.

It's a mixture of a few softies, zoas and few SPS

The SPS list includes:

A. cerealis
S. hystrix
A. valida
A. secale
A. abrotanoides
A. tenuis

Livestock:

Breeding pair of Harlequin shrimp
Bonded pair of A. Percula and A. ocellaris
Small hypo tang
Mystery Wrasse
Bonded pair of Kauderns cardinals
Coral banded shrimp
Cleaner shrimp
Arrow crab
Anemone crab
pistol shrimp (Alpheus sp.)

Three RBTA's

Equipment:

GHL Mixtras 6200 LX
Ecotech Vectra M1 return
Two Ecotech MP10
Tunze Nano Stream 6045 and 6025
Nyos 120 Skimmer
Tunze ATO
Vertex Cerebra Controller
Maxspect Gyre 130

SG 1.025
Ammonia 0
Nitrate 0
Nitrite 0
PH 8.1-3
Phosphate 0
Ca. 410
Alk 10 dkh

I dose Aquavitro Fuel twice a week and B-Ionic daily to keep Alk and Ca. in check.

Im working on better pictures.

Enjoy!

Thanks! I forgot to mention theres an electric flame scallop that likes to jump around. He's the coolest thing. I also feed Marine Snow twice a week..

Those are harlequin shrimp. Exotic and beautiful ... but they only eat sea-stars. Many folks use them to control Asterina stars.

Gorgeous! I love the rock work. Is that a Bali tricolor in the upper right?

Yes ma'am! The colors are super intense. Ill try to take a top down shot..

The harlequins are pretty low maintenance. They go through a medium sized chocolate chip star once a week. They spawn once every two weeks and they feed the whole reef.

Ive been battling cyano pretty badly as of lately. I was cleaning some out and decided to take a few pictures. Also, my birdnest and A. cerialis are mysteriously receding VERY slowly from the base. There are no pests. I attribute it to swings in alk. Im contemplating adding a Ca. reactor. No other corals seem harmed.

Anyways, a couple of new additions:

Strawberry short cake (needs to color up) and A. hyacinthus.

Enjoy!

Update:

The STN seems to have stopped. Im installing a Vertex ZEOlite reactor this weekend if I have time. I also purchased a Ruby Cube Trigger systems sump to switch things up a bit. Picking up a Vertex Calcium reactor today to stable things out hopefully.

This is a nice tank. What's the reason for the zeolites? Be very careful with the flow it can cause the tissue loss to return. Id do a couple of water changes then allow two weeks before adding the zeolite reactor.

Thanks! I want to be able to run an ultra low nutrient system for color and algae. Ive done the math, and with the help of some ZEO users I think I have the numbers down correctly. The only drawback to ZEO is it needs daily attention. My wife and I have a few vacations lined up for 2017 so Ill have to teach a friend..lol

I won't be adding any more coral until both the ZEOlite and Calcium reactor are working properly. Wish me luck!

Sounds good.

What speed setting or watts power have you set your Vectra M1 please?

Very nice tank.
Things look nice and healthy in there.
I'm a sucker for top downs.. they looked great.
You could try manually increasing the intensity in the white leds, if you want an easier time taking iphone shots. But yours are pretty good so far. ..
Not sure if you know Snapseed but it's my favorite photo editing app. They recently added some new features.

Thanks!

Im about to kickstart my ZEOlite reactor. Ill report back with updates. Im hooking up the calcium reactor after Christmas when I have time to sit down and mess with it.
